What are the UPI Changes From 1st August 2025?
Starting with the first UPI Changes, which relate to balance checks, the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has limited the number of balance checks to 50 times per app per day. This UPI change helps to reduce the load on the server from constant tap-to-refresh. Similarly, you can request your account information (such as checking linked bank accounts) up to 25 times per day.
Another important update under the latest UPI changes pertains to autopay deductions or e-mandates. Going forward, these automatic payments will only be processed during non-peak hours. This means there will be no autopay transactions from 10 AM to 1 PM and from 5 PM to 9:30 PM.
